The 2019 Mazda6 seats five passengers. Buyers can get the Mazda6 in one of five trim levels: Sport, Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve and Signature. The Mazda6 employs a standard 2.5-liter SkyActiv four-cylinder engine that develops 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. There’s also an available 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit that develops 250 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque, also mated to a six-speed automatic.
As you might expect from a Mazda vehicle, the 2019 Mazda6 is very fuel-efficient. EPA-estimated fuel economy for the standard four-cylinder engine is rated at 26 mpg city/36 mpg highway.* The available turbocharged engine checks in with 23 mpg city/31 mpg highway.
The Grand Touring Reserve trim is new for 2019. This model comes with levels of lavishness surpassed only by the Signature trim. Even the base Sport trim comes with a long list of standard features, including 17-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, G-Vectoring Control Plus, the driver-assist package, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry/ignition, automatic high beams, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers, two USB ports and Bluetooth.

Move up to the Touring trim and you’ll get 19-inch alloy wheels, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a power moonroof, heated front seats and two more rear USB ports. Opt for the Grand Touring and you’ll get the turbocharged engine, better brakes and a Bose stereo system with 11 speakers. The Signature trim comes with Nappa leather, genuine Japanese Sen wood accents, a configurable driver display, a 360-degree-camera system and many more luxury amenities.
The 2019 Mazda6 received the highest rating of five stars in overall crash testing by the NHTSA. The IIHS gave the Mazda6 its top score of Good in all crash tests and named it a 2019 Top Safety Pick.
