According to the Mazda dealership in Spring, the 2019 Mazda CX-5 is available in five trim levels, called: Sport, Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve and Signature. We’ll go over the different models and see how they compare with each other.

Mazda CX-5 Sport

The Sport trim, along with the Touring and Grand Touring, is powered by a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that develops 187 horsepower and 186 lb.-ft. of torque, matched to a six-speed automatic transmission. This engine features cylinder deactivation, which helps provide increased fuel economy. Front-wheel drive comes standard and all-wheel drive is available.

The Sport trim rides on 17-inch wheels and comes with push-button ignition, manually adjustable front seats, 40/20/40-split reclining rear seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, LED headlights, a four-speaker audio system, a 7-inch touchscreen, two USB ports and Bluetooth. Safety tech features include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and low-speed forward collision warning and mitigation.

The available Sport i-Activsense package includes automatic high beams, automatic headlights, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, automatic windshield wipers and upgraded forward collision warning and mitigation with pedestrian detection.

Mazda CX-5 Touring

The Touring trim comes with the features found in the iActivsense safety suite, as well as keyless entry, automatic wipers, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, rear climate vents, faux-leather upholstery, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two additional USB ports and two more speaker for the audio system. Buyers can choose the available Touring Preferred package, which adds a power liftgate, a sunroof, an upgraded Bose audio system with 10 speakers, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring

The Grand Touring trim comes with all the features mentioned above and adds 19-inch wheels, LED foglights, leather upholstery, heated side mirrors, adaptive headlights, driver-seat memory functions, a power-adjustable passenger seat, a navigation system, an upgraded driver information screen and satellite radio. The available GT Premium package comes with ventilated front seats, power-folding mirrors, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, a windshield wiper de-icer and heated rear seats.

Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring Reserve

The Grand Touring Reserve and Signature trims employ a 2.5-liter turbo-four engine that puts out 250 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque with premium fuel, and 227 hp with regular. A six-speed automatic transmission sends power to the wheels. All-wheel drive is standard, and front-wheel drive is optional. In addition to the upgraded engine, the Grand Touring Reserve also gets the optional features of the Grand Touring trim.

Mazda CX-5 Signature

The top-of-the-line Signature trim includes amenities such as premium leather upholstery, ambient cabin lighting, wood trim accents, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera.
